Affectionately known as, “Coach” by the countless number of students and players he has taught and trained over the last 15 years, Alton Darling has been mentoring teenagers and young adults in the North Central Florida area his entire professional working career. Through a unique style of mentoring, innovative teaching, and a faith-based approach to personal development, his goal is to equip aspiring collegiate athletes with the lesser-known strategies and skills they need to thrive both on and off the field and court. He is the founder of The Fearless Project: Joshua 1:9 and is a lifestyle strategist for Christian student-athletes dedicated to their development, success, and culture. 

In addition to working with the school’s student-athletes, Alton also serves the Santa Fe College community as a mental health therapist and teaching courses within the Student Development & Leadership Department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida, a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, and an education specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Florida. Currently, he is working on a doctorate in Strategic Leadership at Oral Roberts University. He is a born-again Christian and currently resides with his family in Gainesville, Florida.
